"I have carefully gone over and revised the Index to the Laws of Jamaica to 31st December, 1879, published by me early in the year 1880, and brought this present Index down to Law 40 of 1888.

In the appendix A & B from the Report which was presented to the House of Assembly in 1847 by the late Sir Bryan Edwards, Knight Chief Justice of Jamaica, and the late Boswell Middleton Esquire, relative to the Laws of England which are considered in force in Jamaica. "
