Day 1 of the honorable Elaine Bloom’s oral history contains memories that span from her childhood to her time as a Florida Representative. The honorable Elaine Bloom recalls fond memories of her mentors, campaign to the Florida House of Representatives, and marriage to the “larger than life” Judge Phillip Bloom. She further elaborates on the adversity she faced as a female Representative in the late 20th century as well as her other professional endeavors outside of Congress.
