The Acts comprising this volume were passed in a Session of the Legislature, which commenced on the 5th of September, 1849, and, after Prorogation, resumed on the 29th of the same month, and terminated on the 1st February, 1850, during the administration of his Excellency Sir Charles Edward Grey, being the first Session after a Dissolution of the Honorable House of Assembly in the year 1849.
