Saint Vincent

Saint Vincent is formed by a major island and a group of thirty two smaller islands, the Grenadines. These islands are located in the Eastern Caribbean Sea, south of the island of St. Lucia and stretches over to Grenada. The island was originally colonized alternatively by the French and British; in 1783 the Treaty of Versailles gave Britain control of the island until its independence in 1979. Today, Saint Vincent is an independent sovereign state within the British Commonwealth. Because of its colonial history, Saint Vincent’s judicial system is rooted in British common law.

This collection of Ordinances, Orders-in-Council, Rules, Regulations and Proclamations, from 1913 enacted by the Governor of Saint Vincent were acquired by the Law Library from Connecticut State Library.
