The Act comprising this Volume were passed in a Session of the Legislature, which commenced on the 27th October, 1863, abruptly terminated on the 16th February, 1864, in consequence of resolutions of the House of Assembly, passed on the 8th, and subsequently prorogued by proclamation on the 17th of the same month, during the administration of his Excellency Edward John Eyre, Esquire, Lieutenant-Governor; being the second Annual Session after a Dissolution of the Honorable House of Assembly, in the year 1863.
