Comments
The Acts comprising this volume were passed during four Sessions of the Legislature. The first commenced on the 3d August, and ended (by prorogation) on the 20th September 1848. The second commenced on the 26th October, and ended (by Proclamation) on the 22d December, 1848. The third commenced on the 26th December, 1848, and ended (by prorogation) on the 9th February, 1849. And the fourth commenced on the 12th February, and ended on the 3d March, 1849, during the administration of his Excellency Sir Charles Edward Grey, all being the fifth Session after a Dissolution of the Honorable House of Assembly in the year 1844.
