On May 9th, 1993, the International Fine Arts College presented Elaine Bloom with the Degree of Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa. The award was presented for her outstanding leadership and contribution to all Floridians, for her selfless and unwavering dedication to improving the lives she represents in the Florida legislature, and for her brilliant example of the power of a woman who is committed to excellence.
