On September 23rd, 1999, the School Board of Dade County, Florida and the Dade Association of School Administrators, honored Representative Elaine Bloom for her outstanding commitment to public education. The award was signed by the Chair of the School Board of Miami-Dade County, Solomon C. Stinson, and the Superintendent of Schools, Roger C. Cuevas, in appreciation of her leadership, dedication, and perseverance to the children of Miami-Dade County in the Florida House during the 1999 Legislative Session.
