In 1996, the Florida Attractions Association, acknowledged the honorable Elaine Bloom, of the Florida House of Representatives, as the Florida Attractions Industry Champion. The award was presented by Paul Burns, the President of Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum in Saint Augustine, Florida, and Wayne Atherholdt, the President-Elect of the Salvador Dali Museum in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
